Karo Mura (25-1-1, 15 K.o.´s) erhält endlich seine WM-Chance! Der Halbschwergewichtler aus dem Sauerland-Team will sich dabei den Titel gegen den legendären Bernard Hopkins (53-6-2, 32 K.o.´s) holen. Der 48-jährige Amerikaner sicherte sich die Weltmeisterschaft nach Version der IBF am 9. März gegen seinen Landsmann Tavoris Cloud. Nachdem bereits Mitte April klar war, dass es zum Aufeinandertreffen zwischen Pflichtherausforderer Murat und Hopkins kommt, steht nun auch fest, wann und wo der Fight stattfinden wird.

Am 13. Juli werden sich beide im „Kampf der Generationen“ im Barclays Center in New York, USA, gegenüberstehen.

Golden Boy Promotions, der Promoter von IBF-Champion Bernard Hopkins, hatte uns frühzeitig diesen Termin vorgeschlagen und wir haben akzeptiert“, so der Geschäftsführer von Sauerland Event, Chris Meyer. „Karo hat lange auf diese Möglichkeit warten müssen. Wir sind uns sicher, dass er alles dafür tun wird, um Hopkins den WM-Gürtel zu entreißen!

Der 29-jährige Berliner brennt darauf, sich den WM-Titel gegen Hopkins zu holen.
